Profit Connect Review: Is it a Scam? Or is it Legitimate?

You might have come across Profit Connect as you’re searching for legitimate investments.

It might have aroused your curiosity and want to know more about the company.

If this is the case, then you have come to the right place!

So without further delays, let’s begin my Profit Connect review…

What is Profit Connect?

Profit Connect is a company that offers opportunities to earn income through a combination of investment and recruitment.

It was introduced as a Multi-Level Marketing company, but the two mentioned factors above spell more like a pyramid scheme, in my opinion.

Anyway, basic information wasn’t fully disclosed.

The company only gave few details about their company, which includes one of their co-founders which is Eddie Kona.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he is also the current owner of West Wing International.

I can’t conclusively say the offerings of the company because their platforms’ website is currently not functioning to my end. However, it shows side by side with iMarketsLive and says that it is a Forex Trading Education and Affiliate Program. (1)

Also, his LinkedIn says that he is residing in Las Vegas.

I have reviewed several pyramid schemes that sells investment opportunity in the past.

The Profit Connect investment opportunity

In a Multi-Level Marketing setting, they are characterized by retail sales and recruitment.

What makes them different from an MLM is that they also function as a direct selling company.

In which they are offering tangible products to new members that they can resell for profits.

And it is for this reason that Multi-Level is considered legal in almost any country around the world.

On the other hand, a pyramid scheme doesn’t offer any retail merchandise in addition to recruitment.

Instead of tangible products, what they provide are investments that are promised to yield high returns in the future.

Also, this supposedly makes the recruits essentially an investor as well.

Pyramid schemes are extremely high risk compared to MLMs, and that the probability of losses is more likely than any gains.

Profit Connect offers investment opportunities that supposedly allow you to earn income through returns and recruitments.

They refer to their products as Wealth Investment Builder Plans with what they call locked in APR (Annual Percentage Rates).

The investment plans are as follows—

• The Basic Wealth Builder - the initial required investment isn’t disclosed, but it is said that the APR is 15%.
• Youth  – the initial required investment is from $500 to $30,000, with an APR of 20%.
• Unlimited – the initial required investment is from $1,000 to $1,000,000 with an APR of 20% as well.
• Home Equity – the initial required investment is from $30,000 to $1,000,000 with 50% is US dollars, and 50% is home equity lien. The APR of the investment is 20%.
• VIP – the initial required investment is at least $250,000 with an APR of 30%.

If anybody is interested in investing in their builder packages, then you have to take note that they accept payment methods through bank transfers, cash, checks, or cryptocurrency like bitcoins.

What are its income streams?

One of the hallmarks of Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Schemes is their complex and complicated compensation plans.

It’s so convoluted that it seems like you’d need the aid of an expert financial person to decipher the entire thing.

But in the case of Profit Connect, it is very broad and only explained the basics of their compensation plan. You can check it out yourself here.

But to give you an overview, they also offer referral commissions of 20% for every package availed by new investors as a result of you sponsoring them.

Their networking structure is based on a uni-level compensation plan. What this means is that the main business center will have all his sponsors under him on the first level.

Typically, there’s no spillover; it means that all efforts made by your sponsors’ lower network would benefit them directly as well.

How much will it cost me to join?

Profit Connect offers three membership packages that potential investors can choose from, and it includes the following—

• The Bronze membership package is priced at $49, which the investor has to payevery month as well.
• The Silver membership package is priced at $259, which the investor has to pay monthly as well.
• The Gold membership package is priced at $499, which the investor has to pay monthly as well.

Take note that they also offer free memberships, but it won’t qualify you to earn or benefit from their compensation plans.

Is it a reliable source of income?

With no retail products to offer to their members, it appears to me that they are more of a pyramid scheme than an MLM.

Success from such a business model is very rare and risky.

Pyramid Schemes fail to meet expectations because of two factors—

Capitalization

As stated earlier, Profit Connect requires potential investors to provide payment if they want to benefit from their compensation plan.

This can become problematic if the investor isn’t earning anything but continues to provide recurring payments.

Recruitment

Recruitment is the bread and butter, or the lifeblood of MLMs, to put a more accurate term. The reason for such is that their entire structure will collapse without it.

Imagine this for a moment—if the investors at the very bottom of the network fail to recruit sufficient people under them, it will cause them not to earn anything as well.

On top of that, they have to settle monthly or annual fees, which will lead to losses eventually. Thus, it will result in them becoming inactive and quit the business altogether.

This cycle will continue up to the next bottom level, and then the next and so forth and so on…

It will continue up until it finally collapses.

Is Profit Connect a scam?

With only investment opportunities and no retail or tangible products to offer, I don’t see them as Multi-Level Marketing.

A company is a pyramid or Ponzi scheme in my books without any clear retail products to sell.

But as of now, I don’t see any reason to believe that they’re a scam, but you have to remember that pyramid schemes are considered illegal and even banned in some countries like the United States, Canada, Finland, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines.

What I Don't Like About Profit Connect

Success is recruitment-based

Your success in this business depends on your lower network.

No BBB credentials

The Better Business Bureau or simply the BBB is one way most people turn to if they want to check the credibility of a company.

Not having one doesn’t immediately conclude that the business is fraudulent in any way, but it may significantly impact the decision making of potential new members.

What I Like About Profit Connect

As of now, I don’t find any positives about the company.
