Is PlanNet Marketing a Pyramid Scheme

What is PlanNet Marketing?

PlanNet Marketing is an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) that is affiliated by another MLM company that provides travel services called InteleTravel.

Is PlanNet Marketing a Pyramid Scheme

So how it works is that representatives of PlanNet Marketing sell the products and services of InteleTravel to earn income.

Some of the packages they sell include hotel bookings, flights, cruises, etc.

Also, the business opportunity of PlanNet Marketing is closely tied to those offered by InteleTravel. I will explain more about this in the following sections.

Is PlanNet Marketing a Pyramid Scheme

The company was founded by Don Bradley on October 14, 2015, according to their BBB profile.

Also, the company’s current president and CFO is Andy Cauthen.

I have reviewed InteleTravel in the past—you can check it out here.

Other reviews I’ve written that you may also find interesting include ACN, Usana, LurraLife, and OneHope Wine, just to name a few.

The PlanNet Marketing business opportunity

The hallmark of Multi-Level Marketing is their complex and almost incomprehensible compensation plan.

And the compensation plan of PlanNet Marketing is no different. It is as complicated as possible. In addition to this, their business opportunity is tied to another MLM that offers travel services called InteleTravel.

They are so convoluted that it seems like you’d need an expert finance person to decipher their entire compensation plan.

In dealing with MLMs, you only have to bear two things in mind—

  • Retail or referral commissions – it is income that is based on retail sales or packages availed by your personally recruited representatives.
  • Recruitment – it is the bread and butter of MLMs because it is based on the bonuses and commissions that they offer.

Most MLMs tries to make their compensation plan as complicated as possible to infuse an element of confusion.

The purpose is to prevent potential recruits from asking further questions that could expose how flawed the business model is.

And to completely save themselves, they would just show you how high the potential income would be.

It may look a little dishonest, but effective nonetheless.

In this review, I have simplified their compensation plan so that you may better understand how it works.

So, let’s continue…

What are its income streams?

Residual Commissions

PlanNet Marketing adapts 3x9 matrix network marketing. What this means is that the three of your personally recruited representatives are placed directly under you.

And then, three again is placed under you personally recruited representatives and so forth and so on.

Now, the representatives’ income is based on the monthly membership fees settled by their personally recruited representatives and those under them.

They shall earn $4 commissions based on this factor up to nine levels deep.

Gold Builder Bonus

First and foremost, you have to be in the ranks of Gold Builder to qualify for this bonus.

Also, as mentioned, InteleTravel and PlanNet Marketing are interconnected. What this means is that bonuses and commissions overlap between them as well.

With this being said—you need to reach and maintain a specific number of InteleTravel agents to become eligible. It is a total of nine InteleTravel agents in your first level, to be exact.

The representative shall earn a $10 for every InteleTravel membership package availed by the new members.

Matching Bonus

The matching bonus offered by PlanNet Marketing is based on every InteleTravel membership package sold by the representative.

Upon payment of the $199 cost of the membership pack, the representative shall earn $50.

Additionally, they become eligible to receive a 50% matching bonus every their lower network was able to enroll new InteleTravel members.

So if it’s 50%, then that would amount to $25.

Director Bonus

To become eligible for this bonus, the representative must be in the ranks of One Star Director.

The summary of the bonus and additional qualifications are as follows—

One Star Director

The representative with a One-Star Director rank earns compensation of $500 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain the recruitment of at least 100 InteleTravel agents.

Two Star Director

The representative with a Two Star Director rank earns compensation of $1,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain the recruitment of at least 300 InteleTravel agents.

Three-Star Director

The representative with a Three Star Director rank earns compensation of $2,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain the recruitment of at least 500 InteleTravel agents.

Four-Star Director

The representative with a Four-Star Director rank earns compensation of $5,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain recruitment of at least 1,500 InteleTravel agents.

Five Star Director

The representative with a Five Star Director rank earns compensation of $10,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain recruitment of at least 4,000 InteleTravel agents.

Six Star Director

The representative with a Six Star Director rank earns compensation of $16,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain recruitment of at least 10,000 InteleTravel agents.

Seven Star Director

The representative with a Seven Star Director rank earns compensation of $30,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain recruitment of at least 25,000 InteleTravel agents.

Eight Star Director

The representative with an Eight Star Director rank earns compensation of $50,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain recruitment of at least 50,000 InteleTravel agents.

Nine Star Director

The representative with a Three Star Director rank earns compensation of $100,000 per month. But in order to qualify, they have to reach and maintain recruitment of at least 100,000 InteleTravel agents.

Does the potential income excite you?

Well, you shouldn’t be.

As you see, the number of people you and your lower network is crazy high.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, the success rate in MLMs is only 1%! Yes, it is that low!

And the primary reason for such is recruitment, and this is what it certainly looks like with PlanNet Marketing—you have to recruit a lot of people to succeed.

I will explain more about this in the following chapters. But if you’re looking for a better source of income, one that’s less risky and yields higher income, then you need to check out my best work-at-home recommendation.

Rank Achievement Bonus

PlanNet Marketing claims to reward their representative as soon as they reach a certain rank or milestone.

The summary of the bonus is as follows—

  • A Sapphire ring is given as recognition to representatives who maintained a sales volume of $8,333 per month.
  • A Ruby ring is given as recognition to representatives who maintained a sales volume of $20,833 per month.
  • A Diamond ring is given as recognition to representatives that maintained a sales volume of $41,667 per month.
  • A Double Diamond ring is given as recognition to representatives that maintained a sales volume of $83,333 per month.
  • Once the representative reaches the ranks of Five Star Director, they earn a genuine Rolex watch.

How much will it cost me to join PlanNet Marketing?

To become a member, you have to pay the initial membership fee of $19.95. This is also the amount you have to settle monthly to remain active and maintain your status in the organization.

Once you become a representative, you become eligible to earn commissions and bonuses, as stated in their compensation plan. Also, you will also get a replicated website and gain access to their mobile application.

But if you want to earn a higher income through their business opportunity, you may have to purchase the products offered by their partner—InteleTravel.

The two are interconnected, so it’s no surprise that some of their features overlap with each other.

The membership fees of InteleTravel would cost you a one-time payment of $199 plus monthly charges amounting to $39.95.

Tired Of Expensive MLMs?

Here is A Way Better Alternative!

Is it a reliable source of income?

Success in Multi-Level Marketing is extremely rare.

According to research conducted by the Federal Trade Commission, 99% of people who join MLMs are more likely to incur losses than gain any sort of profit.

This instance was elaborately discussed in Jon Taylor’s book, “Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked.”

It was further added that MLMs fail to meet expectation because of two factors—

Capitalization

This factor involves requiring representatives to pay monthly membership fees or buy company products to improve their rankings or maintain their status.

In the case of PlanNet Marketing, they do not necessarily require their representatives to purchase the company’s travel packages.

Also, the $20 and $40 monthly charges may seem not that much. But if you’re not earning any income, then the payment of monthly membership fees becomes irrelevant as well.

So what are the instances that would cause the MLM representative not to earn anything?

Well, the answer is…

Recruitment

Recruitment is the bread and butter, or to place a much better term, the lifeblood of Multi-Level Marketing.

But unfortunately, recruitment is what makes the business model of MLMs extremely flawed as well. And this is the case because such a structure will eventually collapse.

Imagine this—if the representatives at the very bottom of the network were not able to recruit sufficient into the organization, it means that they won’t earn anything as a result.

As you have seen in their compensation plan, it requires loads of recruits for you to earn a significant income.

As the representative continues not to earn anything, it would lead them to become inactive and quitting the business altogether.

This cycle will continue to the next bottom level up until the structure finally collapses.

Here Is My Best Work At Home Recommendation For Newbies!

Is PlanNet Marketing a pyramid scheme?

PlanNet Marketing has no clear products or services to offer. However, their operation is tied to those offered by another MLM called InteleTravel.

And InteleTravel is legitimate, so that makes PlanNet Marketing technically legitimate as well.

This may be the case—I still don’t recommend PlanNet Marketing or any Multi-Level Marketing for that matter.

What I Don't Like About PlanNet Marketing

Success is recruitment-based

Your success in MLMs mainly relies on recruitment.

Low-income potential

As the FTC has described, only 1% of people who join MLMs succeeds.

In addition, your likelihood of incurring losses is much greater than gaining profits.

What I Like About PlanNet Marketing

Positive BBB rating

The company receives an A+ rating in the Better Business Bureau.

And the BBB is one way most people refer to when checking the credibility of a business. And having a positive overall rating may significantly affect the decision-making of potential recruits.

This may be the case—you have to bear in mind that we still shouldn’t entirely rely on them.

This is because there are businesses accredited by the BBB and gained a positive overall that turned out to be engaging in fraudulent practices. One example that comes to mind is Advocare

This instance was also presented in an online portal of CNN—“ Slammed by the Government, A-rated by the Better Business Bureau.”

Final thoughts

I hope my content has provided you sufficient information in answering the all-important question—is PlanNet Marketing a pyramid scheme? Or they a good source of income?

But in either case, I don’t recommend them, as I repeatedly emphasized in this review.

The income potential is very low, and your likelihood of incurring losses is higher than earning any gains.

You earn commissions every time someone engages the affiliate link you’ve provided.
