What is Talk Fusion?

Talk Fusion is an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) that specializes in selling digital communication.

What it means is that they sell product lines that include—

  • Video newsletters
  • Web Conferencing
  • Video Email
  • Mobile Video Messaging.

Their products would cost you from $250 to a whopping $1,499! Is it worth it? Well, they are in business for quite some time now, and this is just my first time hearing about them.

I won’t be talking about its products extensively since our main focus here is whether the company is a legit or a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Talk Fusion Review

Talk Fusion was founded in 2007 by Bob Reina. He is also involved in another MLM company, which I have also reviewed in the past called QuiAri.

Talk Fusion Review

However, unlike Talk Fusion, QuiAri is an MLM engaged in health and wellness products.

Also, QuiAri is promoted by the founder of Daily Digital Club, Peter Wolfing. It is an MLM that is supposed to provide e-learning services.

I also reviewed Daily Digital Club in the past. You can check out the link here.

Or you may want to check out my other MLM reviews that are also in the health and wellness niche. It includes Juuva, NéVetica, Zija, and Well Beyond, just to name a few.

Let’s continue…

The Talk Fusion business opportunity

Complicated and almost incomprehensible compensation plans are the primary characteristic of MLMs. And the compensation plan of Talk Fusion is no different. (1)

It is very convoluted that it seems like you need an expert finance person to decipher the entire thing.

In reality, the compensation plan of MLMs just relies on two main factors—

  • Recruitment – it is where they try to recruit people and place them under their network.
  • Retail sales – it is the income that’s based on the retail sales the consultant makes.

MLMs make their compensation plan as complicated as possible to prevent potential recruits from asking too many questions.

And to completely save their selves and successfully recruit them, they’d show you how high you can earn.

It’s a little bit sketchy but effective nonetheless.

In the following section, I have summarized the income stream of their business opportunity for better understanding…

What are its income streams?

Fast Start Bonus

The MLM representative earns a 10% commission on every sale that they make to either personally recruited lower network or client.

For example, the packages that they offer—

  • A $10 commission is earned by any consultant that is able to sell Video Email Package that is worth $99.
  • A $50 commission is earned by any consultant that is able to sell Video Suite Package that is worth $499.
  • A $150 commission is earned by any consultant that is able to sell Professional Package that is worth $1,499.

Talk Fusion states that there’s no limit here—which means that you can earn depending on how many packages you earn.

Team Commissions

Talk Fusion Adapts a binary type of networking scheme.

It means that you build your network by placing two primary consultants in your left and right leg—and then the process goes on and on…

The consultant earns 10% or 20% commission depending on the following conditions—

  • The consultant earns a 10% commission if they meet a monthly sales volume of five and initial sales of 40. This is applicable in either leg.
  • The consultant earns 20% if they meet a monthly sales volume of 25 and the initial sales of 400. This is applicable in either leg.

Mega Matching Bonus

Talk Fusion claims to give out bonuses as soon as the consultant begins to advance in rankings.

The bonus is based on the team commission generated by your personally recruited consultant and applicable up-to ten generations deep.

The summary of the bonus is as follows—

  • Gold ranks to three-star ranks – a 10% bonus based on their first generation.

  • Diamond ranks to Diamond Elite ranks – aside from the 10% bonus that’s based on their first-generation, the consultant is also said to earn a 5% bonus on their second and third generation.

  • Blue Diamond ranks – the consultant earns a 10% bonus on their first-generation and a 5% bonus that are based on their second up-to fourth generation lower network.

  • Grand Blue Diamond ranks - the consultant earns a 10% bonus on their first-generation and a 5% bonus that are based on their second up-to fifth-generation lower network.

  • Royal Blue Diamond ranks - the consultant earns a 10% bonus on their first-generation and a 5% bonus that are based on their second up-to sixth-generation lower network.

  • Presidential Blue Diamond ranks - the consultant earns a 10% bonus on their first-generation and a 5% bonus that are based on their second up-to seventh-generation lower network.

  • Ambassador Blue Diamond ranks - the consultant earns a 10% bonus on their first-generation and a 5% bonus that are based on their second up-to eighth-generation lower network.

  • Imperial Blue Diamond ranks - aside from the 10% bonus that’s based on their first-generation, the consultant is also said to earn a 5% bonus on their second up-to eighth generation. In addition, a bonus of 2.5% is also provided based on the team commissions generated by their lower network.

Mercedes Car Bonus

Nope, it’s not what you’re thinking. You don’t really receive a Mercedes. But what you receive instead is a car assistance reward to help you buy a Mercedes.

As soon as you reach the ranks of Diamond and above and able to maintain the position for one whole month, it enables you to become eligible to receive a $1,000 car bonus to help you purchase a base model of Iridium Silver C Class Mercedes-Benz.

There are no further specifics about this bonus.

Five Star Vacations

They state that they reward their hardworking consultants by treating them to vacations in extravagant cities—like Paris or Rome, maybe.

Again, the specific of this bonus was not clearly stated.

Rolex Watch Bonus

They said to give out Rolex watches as recognition for consultants that reached the ranks of Diamond Elite or higher and was able to maintain it for two straight weeks.

Does it sound dandy?

Well, it shouldn’t encourage you because only 1% of people who join MLMs succeed, as I will explain later.

Recognition Rings

Recognition rings are awarded to the top earners of Talk Fusion.

How much will it cost me to join?

To join, you have to pay an initial membership fee of $30.

However, the basic membership fee is worthless because it doesn’t qualify you for any of its income streams.

To qualify, you also have to avail one of their membership packs, which would cost you—

  • Starters’ package – it would cost the consultant an amount of $155 plus a monthly fee of $20.
  • Executive package – it would cost the consultant an amount of $280 plus a monthly fee of $35.
  • Elite package – it would cost the consultant an amount of $780 plus a monthly fee of $35.
  • Professional package – it would cost the consultant an amount of $1,529 plus a monthly fee of $35.

If you’re looking for a better source of income, then you have to check out the following description—

Tired Of Expensive MLMs?

Here is A Way Better Alternative!

Is it a reliable source of income?

The success rate in Multi-Level Marketing is extremely low.

According to research conducted by the Federal Trade Commission, they found that 99% of people who join MLMs lose money than earn any significant income.

This was elaborately discussed in Jon Taylor’s book, “Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked.”

The only thing I can appreciate with Talk Fusion is that they’ve provided their 2018 income disclosure statement considering how some MLMs are unwilling to do so.

However, this also confirms how low the success rate is.

Talk Fusion Review

As you see, about 92% did not earn any sufficient income for the year 2018.

Talk Fusion Review

Notice also how low the success percentage and how many years those people took to earn a high income.

Talk Fusion Review

MLMs fail to meet expectation because of two factors—

Capitalization

Have you heard of Garage Qualified?

It is a special definition use to describe MLM consultants that tend to over-purchase company products for the sake of improved or maintenance of personal volume.

In the case of Talk Fusion, they do not have any retail merchandise but communication services as they put it.

This may be the case—they still have to settle monthly membership, as explained earlier.

Such a scenario may become problematic, especially if the MLM consultant is not earning any income.

Although the monthly payment maybe not that significant, it is frustrating nonetheless if no money is coming in, and you’re giving them free cash.

As a result, it may lead them to run out of money to fund the business opportunity. And then, they’d become inactive and eventually quits the business altogether.

Recruitment

Recruitment is the bread and butter, or to use a more accurate term—the lifeblood of Multi-Level Marketing.

I say this because the entire pyramid structure will collapse eventually if no new consultants are coming in.

Imagine this—if the consultants at the bottom aren’t recruiting sufficient people, it means that they will not earn anything as well.

In addition to this, they still have to settle monthly membership to keep their status, and despite that, there’s no coming in.

The bottom network will eventually become inactive and quits the business altogether. And then, this cycle continues to the next level and up until it eventually collapses.

As you see, this business model is flawed, which is why I don’t personally recommend it.

You might say that MLMs are legal, so how can you explain that.

Well, MLMs are legal because they have retail products or services to offer—which makes them sort of a direct-selling company as well.

Engaging in MLMs is one-way such company’s do to deal with competition and cut costs with advertisements.

But still, if the company truly believes in the product that they are selling, then why not just focus on the potential of the products or services that they are offering.

This is instead of putting people in a risky business with a high probability of losses as the FTC and income disclosure of Talk Fusion has stated.

If you’re looking for a better income opportunity, one that is less risky and allows you to earn a significant and higher income, then you have to check out the following description—

Here Is My Best Work At Home Recommendation For Newbies!

Is Talk Fusion a scam or pyramid scheme?

Talk Fusion has faced several issues claiming that they are a pyramid scheme. One example is that they were sued by a man named Dennis Gray for deceptively managing a pyramid scheme. (2) (3) (4)

The case with Dennis Gray was eventually dropped in 2017, but no further information was provided on how it was settled.

This may be the case—it is still considered a Multi-Level Marketing.

But I still don’t recommend them in any way. It is better for you to look for other alternatives to avoid heartaches and loss of money in the future.

What I Don't Like About Talk Fusion

Success is recruitment-based

For you to succeed in this type of business, you have to recruit new members continuously.

Expensive services and membership fees

The video communications and membership fees are just expensive.

Low-income potential

As explained by the FTC, your chances of earning any significant and stable income in MLMs are extremely rare.

What I Like About Talk Fusion

I don’t have anything positive about the business as of yet.

Final thoughts

I hope my Talk Fusion review has provided you sufficient information in determining whether to invest in this Multi-Level Marketing or not.

Although Talk Fusion is technically a legitimate MLM, I still don’t recommend them or any MLMs for that matter.

The success rate in MLMs is very slim, and your chances of incurring losses are more likely than gaining any profits.

Talk Fusion, particularly, has issues in the past that makes it more difficult to convince anybody to invest in their business opportunity.
