The first time I’ve heard of him, the initial reaction was it wasn’t his real name because it sounds similar to a Michael Jackson song.

But yes, it’s his real name!

He was born as Billy Gene Shaw III, and he grew up in San Diego, California.

Aside from his online training courses, he also has a YouTube channel with currently over 70k subscribers at the time of this writing.

The first thing I’ve noticed with his channel is how short the weekly videos are. The amount of information given is helpful, but I feel that he should say more about the said topics.

Also, according to Capitalism.com, he has a net worth of $9 million. And I’m assuming that his income mostly comes from his company.

In my opinion, if he is earning this much income, then you would expect at least 100k subscribers in his YouTube channel—subscribers that come from his training course.

Also, it is over three years of age, so that it would’ve already reached this milestone.

It’s not really a cause for concern, but it seems to me that he doesn’t have a solid fan base as of yet.

What is “Billy Gene Is Marketing” and how does it work?

Billy Gene started selling online programs on how to quit smoking in 2011. But he didn’t find any success at first in doing this type of business.

And then, he learned how to utilize the earning potential of Facebook ads and made about $5 in his first engagement with the platform.

From this point, he went on and founded his company, Billy Gene Is Marketing, in 2013. It began as an ad agency helping businesses advertising their brands online.

But the highlight of his company is its training course that aims to help members how they can earn online as well.

The program is based on his experiences, and then he shares those learnings and personal knowledge with his members, so they, too, can achieve the same success as he did.

In my opinion, it’s sort of similar to other internet gurus like those offered by Wesley “Take Action” Virgin and Neil Patel, where they teach you to become financially independent by following their philosophies.

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is an online advertising strategy where a client pays you a certain amount of money anytime someone clicks the ad.

This part of his video tutorial is supposed to help the member how to attract clicks. It includes factors like creating an email list, creating landing pages, etc.

Also, take note that this is where most of Billy’s success comes from. What this means is that this part of the program may really be helpful for anybody who uses it.

This content is composed of various topics that may be unrelated to each other.

It includes any topics from copywriting, sales funnels, creating a landing page, marketing videos, etc.

With many subjects to tackle, it’s safe to say that it is also one of their most popular courses.

YouTube Advertising for Geniuses

Advertising and being a salesperson is definitely the strong expertise of Billy Gene.

And this content is another example of teaching you how to sell and this time through YouTube ads.

I believe that this is a quality course, but the cost of almost a thousand dollars is just too expensive.

For this part, Billy Gene teaches you how to close sales.

Well, the good thing about this is that you can also apply your learnings here to real-life situations outside the internet world.

How to sell lots of anything with webinars

For this content, Billy Gene teaches you how to basics of managing a webinar.

Conducting a webinar may not be something a newbie would go into. I think that it could be beneficial to people who are experts in a specific field.

The Fundamentals of Live Streaming

In this content, you’ll learn how to conduct live streaming events on social media platforms like Facebook.

I know what you’re thinking—why is this not included in the webinar course. I also have that question, and it seems like it’s just a way to earn additional profits for the company because it could’ve been a part of the previous course. But anyway, that’s just my opinion.

The Genius Accelerator

It is a sales funnel or funnels workshop.

Again, it could work for some. But nevertheless, the course is just too costly and may not be as useful to others.

I am following Jim Edwards and Russell Brunson, and they offer cheaper tools in regards to funnel.

I don’t feel that it’s worth spending that much for something you can avail of cheaper and even for free online.

There are YouTube videos teaching you the basics of funnels, social media ads, seminars, webinars, and all of it for free!

Again, his philosophies and ways of earning income may be a goldmine to others. But it is still not guaranteed that it works for everybody!

I believe it’s not worth risking. It is more advisable to find other programs that can teach you how to earn income online…
