American Dream Nutrition is an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) that specializes in the health and wellness niche.
The company was founded in 2012 by Greg Gunderson.
Some of their popular products include Nu Derma Gold, Super Omega, ChagaPlus, Pure Aqua Mins, and Wild Shiaga.
I have reviewed other MLMs in the same niche in the past. Here are some of them if you’re interested in reading about them—Verway, XanGo, HempTonics, and Bonvera, to name a few.
We won’t be discussing their products any further since our main agenda here is their business opportunity—whether it’s a reliable source of income or not.

The American Dream Nutrition business opportunity
The hallmark of MLMs is its complex and almost incomprehensible compensation plan.
The one you’ll find in American Dream Nutrition is no different.
It is so convoluted that it seems like you would need an expert financial person to decipher the entire thing.
MLMs do this to prevent recruits from asking many questions. And to completely save their selves from potential scrutiny, they would just show you the money.
A bit shady, but it is effective in persuading someone to join in.
You may find many compensation plan gimmicks, but their commissions and bonuses of MLMs are practically based on two things—
- Retail Commissions – it is income earned from retail sales.
- Recruitment – it is income that is derived from recruiting new consultants and your lower network.
For better understanding, I have simplified their income stream in the following section so you can somehow comprehend what you’ll be getting.
What are its income streams?
Retail Commissions
What sets Multi-Level Marketing companies apart from the pyramid scheme is its Direct Selling function.
It means that MLMs also offer income opportunities from selling their merchandise.
The company stated that the MLM consultant could earn up to 70% commissions. But of course, you get the max bonus percentage depending on your ranking in the business.
The higher your ranking is, the better your chances of earning higher commissions.
Commission from recruiting new members
Recruitment commission is a feature that you can commonly find in any MLM platform.
How much commission you earn depends on the starters’ package that the potential recruit availed.
The summary of the commission is as follows—
- Silver package – if the recruit chooses this package, then the consultant shall earn a commission of $15.
- Gold package - if the recruit chooses this package, then the consultant shall earn a commission of $20.
- Platinum package - if the recruit chooses this package, then the consultant shall earn a commission of $40.
- Pro Package - if the recruit chooses this package, then the consultant shall earn a commission of $75.
- Professional Business Package - if the recruit chooses this package, then the consultant shall earn a commission of $100.
Residual Commissions
Recruitment is the bread and butter and lifeblood of MLMs. It is where most of their commissions and bonuses are based.
The earnings of the consultant are derived from the sales and recruitment of their lower network.
The commission is summarized as follows—
- Silver ranking consultants shall earn 4% (from the first through to the fourth level). And then 3% (from the fifth through to the ninth level), and 2% (from the tenth through to the fifteenth level).
- Gold ranking consultant shall earn 5% (from the first through to the fourth level). And then 4% (from the fifth through to the ninth level), and 3% (from the tenth through to the fifteenth level).
- Platinum ranking consultants shall earn 6% (from the first through to the fourth level). And then 5% (from the fifth through to the ninth level), and 3% (from the tenth through to the fifteenth level).
Coded Recruitment Bonus
It is a bonus that is awarded to the consultant that depends on the package you have purchased as a new consultant.
The summary of the bonus is as follows
- Silver pack consultants – the consultant, earn $10 coded bonus for Gold and Silver packs. On the other hand, they earn a $5 coded bonus for Platinum packs.
- Gold pack consultants - the consultant, earn $10 coded bonus for Gold, Silver, and Platinum packs.
- Platinum pack consultants - the consultant, earn $20 coded bonus for Gold and Silver packs. On the other hand, they earn a $10 coded bonus for Platinum packs.
- Pro Pack consultants - the consultant earns a $25 coded bonus for Gold, Silver, and Platinum packs.
- Professional Business Pack - the consultant, earns a $50 coded bonus for Gold and Silver packs. On the other hand, they earn a $100 coded bonus for Platinum packs.
Matching Bonus
To qualify for this bonus, you need to reach the rankings of platinum or higher.
Once you do so, you earn 20% matching bonus anytime you lower network earns residual commissions.
Infinity Bonus
It is a 1% residual bonus that you earn on the sixteenth level.
However, the consultant has to reach the rankings of Triple Diamond and Presidential Diamond to become qualified.
Team Builder Bonus
It is a bonus that is given only once when Sapphire and higher consultants reach a specific milestone.
The summary of the requirement is as follows—
- Sapphire consultants – they earn a $250 one-time bonus when they are able to generate a group volume of 2,500.
- Ruby consultants - they earn a $1,000 one-time bonus when they are able to generate a group volume of 5,000.
- Diamond consultant - they earn a $1,500 one-time bonus when they are able to generate a group volume of 10,000.
- Double Diamond consultant - they earn a $2,000 one-time bonus when they are able to generate a group volume of 25,000.
- Triple Diamond consultant - they earn a $5,000 one-time bonus when they are able to generate a group volume of 50,000.
Lifestyle Bonus
For a consultant to qualify for this bonus, they have to reach and maintain Sapphire rankings and higher.
It is indicated that the bonus is given monthly.
The summary of the bonus is as follows—
- Sapphire consultants receive a $125 monthly bonus.
- Ruby consultants receive a $250 monthly bonus.
- Diamond consultants receive a $400 monthly bonus.
- Double diamond consultants receive a $600 monthly bonus.
- Triple diamond consultants receive an $800 monthly bonus.
- Presidential Diamond consultants receive a $1,200 monthly bonus.
Corporate Bonus Pool
It is where the company shares its profits to leading consultants of the company.
The share is given every quarter.

- One share for Diamond consultants.
- Two shares are awarded for Double Diamond consultants.
- Three shares are awarded for Triple Diamond consultants.
- Four shares are awarded for Presidential Diamond consultants.
Achievement Bonus
It is a bonus that is also given once when a specific group volume is reached.
The of the requirement is as follows—
- A $10,000 bonus is rewarded to consultants who are able to produce a 10,000 group volume as well.
- A $50,000 bonus is rewarded to consultants who are able to produce a 250,000 group volume.
- A $100,000 bonus is rewarded to consultants who are able to produce a 500,000 group volume.
- A $150,000 bonus is rewarded to consultants who are able to produce an 800,000 group volume.
- A $200,000 bonus is rewarded to consultants who are able to produce a 1,000,000 group volume.
The bonuses and commissions of American Dream Nutrition may seem dandy, but you may also have noticed how high their qualification is.
Because of such a standard, your chances of earning any significant income from MLMs are very slim. In fact, the FTC found that only 1% of people who join them succeed.
How much will it cost me to join the company?
As mentioned, bonuses and commissions of the company are also linked to the package you and your personally recruited consultants avail.
The cost of the packages are summarized as follows—
- The silver package costs $54.95.
- The gold package costs $89.90.
- The platinum package costs $164.
- The pro Package costs $349.
Although they offer a minimum of about $55, you still have to avail their more expensive ones to get ahead of the game.

Success in Multi-Level Marketing is extremely rare.
According to the Federal Trade Commissions, 98% of people who join MLMs incur loss than gain any profits from the business.

It was further discussed that MLMs fail to meet any single expectation because of two things. And it is as follows—
Capitalization

Even though they may know the MLM consultant, it doesn’t provide any guarantee that they can recruit all of them.
It may lead to annoyance if they persistently push the business opportunity to them. Or even resentment if they didn’t earn anything and incurred losses instead of the network marketing collapsed altogether.
It becomes even more challenging if they exhaust the people they know and sell the business opportunity to those they don’t know.
It often leads to frustration, especially if they weren’t able to create sufficient lower line to aid them in their progression.
As a result, they become inactive or quits the so-called opportunity altogether.

Is American Nutrition a scam?
Upon research, I did not find any reason to believe that the American Dream Nutrition is a pyramid scheme or outright scam.
I believe that they are a legitimate Multi-Level Marketing that specializes in the niche of Health and Wellness.
However, some of you might argue that Multi-Level Marketing is essentially a pyramid scheme that disguises themselves as a direct selling company.
Although I agree to some degree, they are technically different from a legal standpoint.
Multi-Level Marketing is legal because the consultant receives something of value as a result of their so-called investment.
And these values are in the form of retail merchandise that the consultant can sell for profits.
On the other hand, a pyramid scheme is technically illegal because it does not offer anything return. As a result, they are at high risk. And the chances of losses are more probable than gains.

Success is based on how large your lower network is
Your success depends on how well you and your downline recruit new consultants.
Autoships
They require monthly purchases.
No BBB credentials
One way people check the credibility of a business is through the Better Business Bureau or simply the BBB.
If a business doesn’t have one, it doesn’t immediately indicate that the business is a scam. But it may significantly impact the decision-making of potential recruits.
