As their presentation goes on, they might have discussed you to the company’s business opportunity as well.
It might have triggered your interest and want to know more about the company. And then investigate if their business opportunity is a good investment or not.

What Is Vida Divina?
Vida Divina is an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) that specializes in the health and wellness niche.
One of their flagship products includes the TeDivina Detox Tea by Dr. Esther Ramos.
This company was founded by Armand Puyolt in 2016.
I have reviewed other MLMs in the same niche. You can check them out if you like—Stemtech, Monavie, Rain International, American Dream Nutrition, and Usana, just to name a few of them.

I will not explain their products extensively because our main focus here is whether their business opportunity is a good investment or not.
The Vida Divina business opportunity
The hallmark of Multi-Level Marketing is their complex and almost incomprehensible compensation plan.
They are very complicated that it seems like you’d need an expert finance person to decipher the entire thing.
When dealing with MLMs, all you have to take note is two things—
- Retail commissions – it is the income based on sales from retail merchandise.
- Recruitment – it is the bread and butter of MLMs. It is so because this is generally the basis of their bonuses and commissions.
The business opportunity of Vida Divina is no different—they are as complicated as you can get.
I have simplified their compensation plan in the following section so that you may get a better understanding of how their business opportunity works.

What are its income streams?
Retail Commissions
It is a common feature of MLMs.
What sets MLMs apart from a traditional pyramid scheme is that they also function as a direct selling company where they can resell company products for profits.
Anyway, representatives of Vida Divina shall earn retail commissions every time they make retail sales.
They also sell their products online, which is common among MLMs. The good thing about selling products online is that you conveniently collect payments as well.
Team Commissions
Vida Divina adapts a binary networking scheme.
This feature does not necessarily require a representative to have personally recruited members to be directly under the sponsor.
It means that you can still earn specific bonuses or rewards from your lower networks even without sponsorship.
The good thing about this is that you can strategically place your lower network anywhere you think it would benefit you.
However, you need to at least have two personally recruited representatives directly under you that are placed one on each side.
This may not be as good as those who are new to the organization. An apparent effect of this that they won’t have control over they would be placed and may affect their earning potential.
To qualify for this income stream, the company representative must at least have a minimum personal volume of 120.
Accelerated Team Bonus
This bonus rewards representative that is able to reach and maintain specific requirements for the period.
They earn 5% commissions and provided every the 7th of the month.
Fast Track Bonus
Vida Divina provides a special bonus to new representatives that are able to enroll new affiliates within their few weeks of membership.
The bonus is rewarded when the recruits avail of the membership packages. They state that the potential earnings can reach as high as 70%. Also, the payout is said to be provided per week.
The commission percentage is based on rankings. The summary of the bonus is as follows—
Preferred Customers to Rose Gold ranks – representatives within these ranks earn a 50% fast track bonus.
Platinum and Jade ranks - representatives within these ranks earn a 55% fast track bonus.
Sapphire and Pearl ranks - representatives within these ranks earn a 60% fast track bonus.
Ruby – a representative in this rank, earns a 62% fast track bonus.
Emerald – a representative in this rank, earns a 64% fast track bonus.
Diamond - a representative in this rank, earns a 66% fast track bonus.
Double Diamond - a representative in this rank earns a 68% fast track bonus.
Triple Diamond - a representative in this rank, earns a 69% fast track bonus.
- Crown Diamond - a representative in this rank, earns a 70% fast track bonus.
But as high as they may seem, the Federal Trade Commission found out in their studies that only 1% of people who join in MLMs succeeds.
Yup, the success rate is that low. I will explain more about this in the following chapters.

Check Match Bonus
The representative earns a check match bonus as soon as they reached the ranks of Silver or higher.
How much the representative earns shall depend on their ranks and applicable up to seven generations deep.

The representative of Vida Divina earns a chance to attend Leadership summits as they reach particular rankings.
In addition, they state that the representative also receives luxury cars and all-expense-paid trips as a reward.
Presenter Bonus
The basic idea of this bonus is that you earn a 20% commission when help another representative to enroll their personally recruited members.
The commission is based on the package availed by the recruit.
Rank Advancement Bonus
The representative earns a one-time star coin bonus as they advance in rankings. The summary of the bonus is as follows—

Is it a reliable source of income?
Success in Multi-Level Marketing is extremely rare—just ask the Federal Trade Commissions!
According to research conducted by the FTC, they found out that 99% of people who join MLMs have experienced losses than gain any profits as a result of joining the network marketing.

It was further added that MLMs fail to meet expectations because of two things—
Capitalization

It is a special used to describe MLM representatives that tend to over-purchase company products for the sake of maintaining or reaching a certain level of personal volume.
This can become especially problematic to the representative if they’re trying hard to maintain their status in the network but unable to recruit sufficient people under them.
Thus, it causes them not to earn anything or even incur losses as a result of settling monthly requirements.
It eventually leads them to become inactive and quit the business opportunity altogether.
Recruitment
Recruiting people into the network is the bread and butter of MLMs. Or to put a more accurate term, it is their lifeblood.
The entire structure will eventually collapse as soon as the representative could not bring in new members to the organizations.
Imagine this instance—if a representative failed to introduce new members into the organization, then it would lead them to fail to meet specific requirements to qualify for bonuses and commissions.
This is so because initial investment and monthly expenses from your lower network are what’s keeping the business alive.
If no recruits are coming in, the consequence is that the representative at the very bottom of the structure will not earn anything.
They will eventually incur losses as a result of monthly expenses.
In the end, the bottom-placed representatives will become inactive and quit the business altogether.

Is Vida Divina a scam?
I did not find any reason to believe that Vida Divina is a scam.
I think Vida Divina is a legitimate MLM company that provides health and wellness products.
However, some of you might argue that MLMs are essentially a pyramid scheme that disguises themselves as a direct selling company.
Although I agree to some degree, MLMs are different from pyramid schemes because of legality.
MLMs are technically legal because they offer something of value in return for your investment. And this value is in the form of retail merchandise that the representative can sell for profits.
On the other hand, a pyramid scheme is illegal and banned in many parts of the world because they are purely money with no assurance of returns. This makes them extremely high risk.
What I Don't Like About Vida Divina
Success is recruitment-based
Your success in the business is not dependent on selling on the company product, but rather on recruitment.
Loses is more likely than gains
According to the FTC, they found out that chance of incurring losses in MLMs than gain any profits.
What I Like About Vida Divina
Positive BBB ratings
The Better Business Bureau or simply the BBB is one way most people do to check the credibility of a company.
Vida Divina currently has an A+ rating in the BBB, which may mean that they are practicing proper business standards.
However, we have to take note that a positive overall rating in the BBB doesn’t mean that the company is necessarily legitimate as a whole—are you familiar with Advocare?
This instance was discussed in an online portal published by CNN titled “Slammed by the Government, A-rated by the Better Business Bureau.”
I am not saying that Vida Divina is a scam, and we shouldn’t trust them. My point here is that we mustn’t entirely rely on the BBB and that we still have to do our background checking before we engage in any business opportunity.

Although the company is technically legitimate, I still don’t recommend Vida Divina or any MLMs for that matter.
The risk is still high, and the probability of losses is more likely than anything else, as I discussed earlier.
