What is NuMedia?

NuMedia is an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) that specializes in selling online streaming services.

I believe it’s sort of like a cable. After subscribing to their services, you get over 1,500 channels: Fox, HBO, Showtime, PBS, Disney, etc.

Is NuMedia a Scam

I wasn’t able to locate any conclusive information about the company background. But it appears that their domain was registered on July 13, 2018.

The company doesn’t offer any tangible products like any other MLMs that also function as a direct selling company.

But there are also other MLM companies that render services instead. Some of them are companies that I’ve also reviewed in the past. You can check them out if you like—QuiAri, Talk Fusion, and ACN.

Anyway, I won’t be discussing their products any further since our main focus here is their business opportunity.

So is NuMedia a scam? Or are they legitimate?

Let’s continue and find out…

The NuMedia business opportunity

Complex and hard-to-comprehend are the hallmarks of MLMs compensation plans.

Those offered by NuMedia is no different. They are so convoluted that it seems like you’d need an expert finance person to decipher the entire thing.

In dealing with MLMs, you only have to remember two things—

  • Retail commissions – this income is based on sales volume generated from retail products sold or services rendered.
  • Recruitment – it is the bread and butter of MLMs because it is where their bonuses and commissions are based from.

Most MLMs try to make their compensation plan as complicated as possible to prevent potential investors from asking many questions that may expose the flaws of such a business model.

And to completely save themselves and successfully persuade them in joining, they would show you how high the potential income is.

And then, they would present to you the luxurious lifestyle of their members—MLM representatives are often shown in front of their supposed houses and expensive cars.

Does this sound familiar?

It may seem a little misleading but effective nonetheless.

Anyway, there are several ways how you can earn with NuMedia, and it includes the following—

  • Personal Referral Bonus
  • 30-Day Quick Start Bonus
  • Monthly Residual Promoter Bonuses

I will simplify them in the next section so you can have a better overview of how each income stream works.

Now, let’s discuss how you are supposed to earn through their compensation plan…

What are its income streams?

Personal Referral Bonus

The representative earns anytime they are able to recruit preferred customers or personally recruited affiliates under their lower network.

Personal Referral Bonus is based on the first membership package availed by their recruits. It also covers monthly autoships from preferred customers.

The summary of the bonus is as follows—

  • A $10 personal referral bonus is earned by the representative from the initial membership package and autoship from personal preferred customers that’s worth $49.95.
  • A $75 personal referral bonus is earned by the representative from the initial membership package availed by personally recruited promoters that’s $149 (One-Star Promoter Package).
  • A $150 personal referral bonus is earned by the representative from the initial membership package availed by personally recruited promoters that’s $449 (Two-Star Promoter Package).
  • A $400 personal referral bonus is earned by the representative from the initial membership package availed by personally recruited promoters that’s $1,200 (Three-Star Promoter Package).

In addition, they also state that the representative of NuMedia also earns a $10 referral bonus from initial purchases and autoships from promoters’ packages.

Also, there’s no limit to this bonus, and they can refer to as many people as they want.

30-Day Quick Start Bonus

NuMedia representative earns a Quick Starts Bonus within their first 30-day in the business.

This is commonly referred to as Fast Start Bonus in some MLM companies.

It is their way of encouraging new members to work hard and recruit more people into the network.

As for NuMedia representatives, they earn in three-fold—Quick Start Bonus One, Two, and Three. The summary of the Quick Starts bonuses are as follows—

  • Bonus One – a $100 bonus is earned by the representative if they are able to recruit seven new members within the 30-day period.
  • Quick Start Bonus Two – a $200 bonus is earned by the representative if they are able to recruit 14 new members within the 30-day period.
  • Quick Start Bonus Three – a $300 bonus is earned by the representative if they are able to recruit 21 new members within the 30-day period.

This should produce a total of $600 Quick Start Bonus as it was claimed.

Does this all sound dandy? Does it make you feel excited about joining this MLM company?

Well, you shouldn’t be!

This is because only 1% of people who join MLMs succeed, according to the Federal Trade Commissions.

I will explain more about this in the next sections, so read on!

Monthly Residual Promoter Bonuses

The residual bonus of NuMedia is based on every personally recruited representative under your network that pays monthly service fees of $49.95.

The income you’d earn depends on the number of your lower network and level where the monthly payment was payment.

The summary of the bonus is as follows—

Is NuMedia a Scam

To give you a better understanding of how it works, refer to the following example.

You earn $10 each of the seven personally recruited representatives you have under your network on the first level.

For this level, you earn $70 and a total of $70 monthly residual bonus.

And then, you earn $2 each of the 49 personally recruited representatives you have under your network in the second level.

For this level you earn $98 (49 x $2), and a total of $168 ($70 + $98) monthly residual bonus.

Again, you earn $2 each of the 343 personally recruited representatives you have under your network in the third level.

For this level, your expected income is $686 (343 x $2), and a total of $854 ($168 + $686).

And so forth and so on…

The $2 earning is applied up to 9 levels deep.

Also, you need to be in a 4-star and 5-star promoter to qualify for the 8th and 9th level monthly residual bonus, respectively.

Again, these are nothing to get excited about. And I wouldn’t recommend MLMs in any way because of how low your chances of earning any significant income are.

In case you still want to try them, you may do so at your own risk. And the cost of the membership package is in the next section…

How much will it cost me to join NuMedia?

The summary of the membership package is as follows—

  • One-Star Promoter’s Pack – it costs you $149
  • Two-Star Promoter’s Pack – it cost you $499
  • Three-Star Promoter’s Pack – it cost you $1,200

In addition, there’s a monthly charge of $49.99 that gives access to the representative online stream services offered by NuMedia, and it also allows them to resell the services.

Tired Of Expensive MLMs?

Here is A Way Better Alternative!

Is it a reliable source of income?

Success in Multi-Level Marketing is extremely rare.

According to a research conducted by the Federal Trade Commissions, they found out that 99% of people who join MLMs are more likely to experience losses than gaining any sort of profit as a result of joining the business opportunity.

This was elaborately discussed in Jon Taylor’s book, “Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked.”

It was further added that most MLMs fail to meet expectation because of two factors—

Capitalization

Unlike most MLMs that sell retail merchandise, NuMedia offers streaming services that their representative has to sell.

Now, the $49 monthly charge is relatively affordable to some. But a problem may arise if the representative isn’t earning anything but still pretty obliged to settle those fees.

Combine the elements mentioned above, and it results in losses.

Recruitment

Recruitment is the bread and butter, or the lifeblood of MLMs to put a more accurate term. And this is so because, without this factor, the entire structure will collapse.

Imagine this—if the representative at the very bottom of the network were not able to recruit sufficient people under them, it would lead them not to earn anything.

And to make matters worse, they still have to maintain a certain personal volume to keep their status in the organization.

As mentioned above, such an instance could eventually lead to losses. As a result, it would cause the representative to become inactive and quit the business opportunity altogether.

This cycle will continue up to the next level and then the next and so forth and so on…

It will continue up until the structure finally collapses. This is how flawed the business model of MLMs is.

If you’re looking for a better alternative than MLMs, one that’s less risky and more reliable, then check out my best work work-at-home recommendation below—

Here Is My Best Work At Home Recommendation For Newbies!

Is NuMedia a scam?

I did not find any reason to believe that NuMedia is a scam or pyramid scheme.

Although they do not have tangible products to sell as any typical MLMs do, they have online streaming services to offer.

As stated earlier, there are other MLMs that offer services instead of retail products like ACN, QuiAri, and Talk Fusion, which I also reviewed in the past.

However, some of you might argue that MLMs are essentially pyramid schemes in disguise.

Although I agree to some degree, MLMs are technically different from pyramid schemes in regards to legality. MLMs are legitimate because they offer something of value in return for your initial investment.

And these values are in the form of retail merchandise or services which the representative can sell for profits.

On the other hand, a pyramid scheme is high-risk because you don’t receive anything upon providing the initial investments. What you get instead is a promise of high returns.

It is for this reason that they are illegal and even banned in many parts of the world, including the United States, the Philippines, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, just to list a few of them.

What I Don't Like About NuMedia

Success is recruitment-based

Your chances of earning any significant or reliable income are based on your lower network.

Low success rate

As mentioned, the success rate in MLMs is only 1%.

What I Like About NuMedia

I can’t find any positives about the actual services and compensation plan that they offer.

Final thoughts

I hope my review has provided you the answer you seek in determining—is NuMedia a scam? Or are they a reliable source of income?

Although they are technically legitimate, I still don’t recommend them or any MLMs for the matter.

Earning significant income from them is rare, and the likelihood of incurring losses is much greater than gains.
