You may have heard of IDLife from a friend who’s taking their dietary supplements or from a celebrity endorsement on TV.
And because of these publicities, you may also have started using their product.
As you begin to become a loyal customer, the seller might have introduced their business opportunity as well.
This is one of the usual ways how MLMs recruit.
But if you have decided to give IDLife a shot and research whether they are indeed legit or Is IDLife a pyramid scheme, then you’ve come to the right place.
In this review, I will provide analyses on whether you should invest time and money in them, or is it better to place your money in other investments.

What is IDLife?
IDLife is an MLM (Multi-level Marketing) company that specializes in health and wellness.
They were founded by Logan Stout in 2014 and headquartered in Frisco, Texas.
Before venturing into his own MLM business, he had experience from other MLMs like Ignite and Advocare.
He also has a background in sports, both collegiate and professional. This experience might have given him the idea to establish his own health and wellness company.
What are the products offered by IDLife?
I will not explain their products in detail since our agenda here is to review their business opportunity.
Our focus is to determine whether the business is a legitimate way to earn income or is IDLife a pyramid scheme.
Their flagship product is called ID Nutrition. It’s a personalized dietary supplement that’s designed to meet your unique and specific needs.
Some of the types of products you can find are as follows:
- Snack bars – the bars offered by IDLife are gluten-free and made from organic ingredients.
- Hydration drinks – products that help you hydrate and replace loss liquid from your body during workouts.
- Meal replacements – it’s a type of snack designed to replace your meals. It’s especially ideal for people always on-the-go.
- Appetite chews – it’s a low-calorie snack that helps you suppress appetite and cravings.

How can I join IDLife?
There are two options on how you can become an IDLife Ambassador.
The first option—you have to sign up first online and then order a virtual starter kit.
However, you have to sell at least two products of Starters’ Kit worth of $299.99 or accumulate 500 PCV (Personal Customer Value) before you can qualify to be an associate.
The virtual starters’ kit includes the following:
- Pro Website Bundle (free to use for the first month)
- Experience Guide
- Brochures
- Success Planner
The second option—you have to avail of one of the five enrollment kits. Purchasing one qualifies you for a 30% discount on all products. But if you’re a new member, then you’re entitled to a 40% discount on your first month.
The product bundles are as follows:

- Associate Experience Enrollment Kit for $299.99
- Associate Experience Enrollment Kit plus Product for $699.99
- Associate Experience Enrollment Kit plus All Products for $1,199.99
The IDLife Opportunity
There are various ways on how you can profit with IDLife. But essentially, there are only two ways on how anyone can earn income with MLMs in general. That is:
- Direct selling and
- Building your lower network
IDLife also has a convoluted and extensive compensation plan, which took me a while before I had understood how the income streams work.
I have briefly summarized them in the following section for better understanding.
Also, the most updated compensation plan I was able to locate is version 18.6. Thus, this is the version I will be referring to for the entire review.

Once you’ve become a member, you are awarded a 40% discount on your first purchase. And then, you’re now entitled to a 30% discount as an associate of IDLife.
That’s not all, if a customer joined as a result of the auto-ship program, they’d receive 10% on all products.
It may sound attractive at first, but it seems that the company is pushing its associate program indirectly. It’s like they are using these gimmicks to lure persons into their program.
The income streams of IDLife
Free Products
IDLife offers free products worth of $300 for you to sell if you can recruit three new members monthly.
You also get a free sample kit every time you enrolled a preferred customer.
Your customers can also receive a $10 credit on their next purchase if they shared your link to their friends and loved ones who end up buying the products.
Retail Sales
This part of the compensation plan is what MLMs popularly call commissions. You earn these commissions when you and your recruits make sales or recruit new members.
Retail Commissions
As a new member, you are eligible for a 30% commission on all sales for the first 30 days.
After this, your commissions will automatically drop to 20%. But commission rates also depend on your sales volume, as shown below:
Fast Start Bonus
This bonus is also only applicable to newcomers.
Recruits are encouraged to reach 70 QV of products sold to retail customers within 30 days. If they are able to accomplish this task, they will be rewarded with a one-time fast start bonus of $100.
This type of bonus is a common practice in MLMs to encourage new members to recruit aggressively.
PCV (Personal Customer Volume) Monthly Rewards
The company will reward you $27.49 of premium bundle subscription if you reach 1,000 PCV for the month. The reward will be credited by the following month.
PCV (Personal Customer Volume) Annual Rewards
It’s a bonus rewarded to members annually. The members’ PCV will accumulate within the year, starting from the date of enrollment.
The reward is given as a cash bonus, and the amount you’ll be receiving is equivalent to the following PCVs:
Business Builder Bonus
This is a classic example of MLM because it is where you earn income from your lower lines.
It is to be noted that this is a one-time earning only. For example, if the associate you personally enrolled availed the $299.99 Kit, then you’re no longer qualified for other bonuses within the line.
For you to qualify for Level 2 and 3, you must have built your lower network first. Not only that, but you must also complete the three-person monthly recruitment or at least have a 500 PCV.
And yes, you have to do all of this for the first month!
You will be given another 30 days to complete the task, but it is going to be a tough duty, to say the least.
3X Associate Bonus
You get a $300 bonus if you get three recruits to avail qualified $299.99, $699.99, and $1,199.99 starters’ kit within your first 30 days.
Residual Income Bonus
As mentioned, the concept of earning money in MLMs is really basic—it is direct selling and recruitment.
The same idea still applies here. The only difference is that you have to be in the ranks of directorship and above to qualify for this bonus.
This bonus goes down to 10 levels.
They also use a term they call “Dynamic Compression,” it’s supposed to maximize your earning potential by allowing your lower lines to replace their inactive upper lines.
In other words, it removes associates with 0 PCV from your lower levels.
The bonus is paid to the sponsor. It is as follows:
Matching Residual Bonus
You receive a bonus as a result of your recruit getting closer to your ranks.
However, they have to reach the directorship position or above before an associate can qualify for this bonus. Also, the bonus is only valid down to the third generation.
Global Pool
IDLife shares 2% of its Commissionable Volume from residual incomes to its National Directors and above rankings.
However, you must be a director or above for at least two consecutive months before you can qualify for this bonus.
Rank Advancement Bonus
It’s a one-time bonus each time you reach a milestone.
If you are able to advance two ranks within two months, then you will earn the amount equivalent for both ranks.
Presidential Team Building Bonus
It is a bonus awarded to Presidential Directors when they achieve a certain TQV (Total Qualifying Volume).
Car Bonus
IDLife will help associates to fund for a car if they reach the rank of directorship and above rankings.
Incentive Trips
It’s an award given to the top earners of the company.
Can you make a reliable income from IDLife?
Like most MLMs, there’s no available income disclosure statement for IDLife on their website. Unfortunately, I also wasn’t to locate any online.
If their business opportunity is working well, then why wouldn’t they show any proof. It would only make sense for them to show people that they are legitimate, right?
In Dr. Jon Taylors’ book, “The Multi-level Marketing Unmasked,” he revealed that 99.7% of people who join MLMs actually lose money.
He pointed out that MLMs are focused on funding the business operation than commissions. Thus, they require all these unnecessary tasks to associates to make it difficult for them to succeed.
An MLM model of business is a convenient way if you want to cut back costs from advertising, promotions, or hiring additional workforce. It makes sense, right?
This is why I don’t recommend MLMs, ever!
So with this being said—is IDLife a pyramid scheme? Well, technicality, no. I’ll explain this in a little bit.

Some of the common complaints IDLife receives
You’re likely to lose money when you don’t recruit well
As you see, your success with IDLife primarily depends on sales volume and how well you built your lower line, and how well your recruits do the same.
Your promotion also depends on recruitment
For you to advance in the company and make commissions, you have to maintain and reach a certain volume.
Most MLMs don’t limit internal purchases—regardless of how much is in your inventory or what you need, you can buy as many inventories as you want.
Thus, it might result in overspending just to get promoted and keep the associates’ status.
Not accredited by the BBB
Although they have a positive rating in the BBB, IDLife is not accredited by the BBB.
This factor doesn’t immediately indicate that IDLife is not credible. But they may have somehow kept some of their information confidential.

However, it does raise questions of why they are unwilling to provide such information to the BBB.
Also, I’m pretty sure that this agency won’t do anything that would compromise the company’s interest.
High start-up cost
Although they offer free products, you still have to purchase them to reach your target personal volume in case you fail to meet your quota.
If you’re not willing to pay their minimum membership of $300, then you don’t have to.
There are a lot of better ways to make money online. One of which is through Affiliate Marketing. It is free to begin with, and it’s way more profitable than MLMs.

The business has a positive rating
IDLife has a B+ rating, which means that they are doing relatively well.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is one of the measures we do to determine the credibility of the company.
You can check the details here.
However, we shouldn’t entirely rely on such information. This is because there are companies in the BBB that were rated A+ despite having a background of malpractices.
This was reportedly extensively in an online article released by CNN—“Slammed by the Government, A-rated by the Better Business Bureau.”
Good products
They sell health products with a good reputation and a positive overall rating.
Is IDLife a pyramid scheme?
No. IDLife is not a pyramid scheme. They are a legitimate business.
MLMs have a reputation of being compared to Pyramid schemes because of the similarity in business models.
The only difference between the two is legality—pyramid schemes are completely illegal, while MLMs are technicality is legal.
Final thoughts and a better alternative to earn income
I do not recommend IDLife or any MLMs for that matter. Mainly because of its low-income potential, or you might just lose money altogether.
There are plenty of ways how you can make money, and one of which is called Affiliate Marketing.
It’s performance-based marketing in which you promote business through your website or any forms of social media.
And you earn commissions when someone clicks the link and buys the products or services.
Affiliate Marketing is a better alternative to MLMs or any other money-making schemes online because:
- It’s free to start.
- You don’t have to recruit to make money.
- You can promote as many businesses as you want
